Quill is hiring a Creative Production Coordinator!

About Quill:

Quill is a growing startup in the podcast industry. We offer full-service podcast production and marketing services and work with a wide range of branded podcasts.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll work primarily on production and project management on several branded podcasts with subjects ranging from travel and lifestyle to technology. You will work closely with hosts, co-producers, clients, and a full production team to deliver weekly/bi-weekly episodes (dependent on the show), keeping every project organized, on schedule, and running smoothly from inception to completion. You will work in a primarily remote environment and must be able to produce consistent, stellar creative and organizational output while working with a range of different people and personalities.

Beyond podcast production and project management, you'll also pitch in on generalist tasks across the company including admin support and account management and product support making this a great fit for someone who wants exposure to many different areas of a growing podcast company.

Responsibilities:

- Creative Content Production: Support the development and refinement of creative concepts, episode plans, interview questions, and more for branded podcasts.
- Project Management & Scheduling: Build and maintain workback schedules for each show, track deliverables and deadlines across the production team, and make sure every episode moves through the pipeline on time, on brief, and on budget.
- Guest Research + Creative Coordination: Manage guest pre-calls, research, and host preparation to ensure the highest quality content and thorough interviews.
- Client Communication & Account Management: Serve as a key point of contact for client teams, providing regular updates, coordinating timelines, and ensuring a collaborative environment and top-notch client service throughout the life of the project.
- Post Production Collaboration: Work with a team of editors and be responsible for overseeing the recording, editing,



and distribution of each episode. Review and provide internal approvals on edits and sit in on recordings to provide creative direction.
- Analytics Tracking and Reporting: Monitor podcast metrics and help prepare regular reports, presenting them to clients when necessary.
- Generalist & Administrative Support: Support various operational and administrative tasks across the company as needed: this may include help with internal tools, product/platform support, scheduling, documentation, and other cross-functional projects.

Ideal Candidate will have:

- Superb communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong project management instincts and a knack for keeping many moving pieces on track
- A service-minded approach to working with clients and internal teams alike
- Ability to work independently but must also work well with a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Keen eyes and ears for detail
- Ability to think creatively and proactively to generate new ideas/solutions to meet internal and external requirements
- Exceptional content writing and editing skills
- Ability to take ownership of a project from inception to completion
- Keen research skills
- An eagerness to learn podcast production and grow across many different areas of the business
- A love of podcasts!

Skills and Experience:

- Degree or equivalent in broadcasting, journalism, audio editing, digital marketing, media production, business or related field
- 1-3+ years experience in a production, project management, account management, or client service role (podcast/long-form audio experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Comfort building and managing schedules, workback plans,



and timelines across multiple projects at once
- At least basic understanding of technical production, especially in a remote environment
- Ability to write specifically for audio and an understanding of how this is different from other mediums (print, screenwriting)
- Ability to write for a specific tone/voice
- Strong copywriting capabilities for creating loglines, episode descriptions, and related content
- Strong understanding of journalism, news, and pop culture
- Skilled in storytelling to attract a specific target audience
- Knowledge of Google Workspace
- Knowledge of best practices with optimizing workflows including usage of AI tools such as Claude
- Knowledge of podcast distribution platforms, and an understanding of how to operate inside this ecosystem
- A knack for time management, optimizing workflows and problem solving
- An ability to service high profile clients and C Suite executives with timeliness, professionalism and rapport

Bonus Points if You:

- Have an understanding of the podcasting landscape and industry
- Have worked in a 100% remote environment before
- Have previous experience working at or with a startup
- Have previous experience in marketing, PR, or communications
- Love dogs and all furry creatures
