Location & Employment Vancouver, BC, Canada. Temporary Full Time. 8 months. On-site.About the Role Teck Resources Limited seeks engineering students to support the Rebuild Team within the Central Asset Management group. The role involves projects to rebuild mobile mining assets to as‑new condition and assemble new mining equipment. It offers hands‑on experience in asset management, project controls, and data‑driven decision‑making.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.Assist in creating technical and project documentation.Extract and analyze information from Maximo to monitor truck performance, work orders, purchase orders, and purchase requisitions.Conduct technical and economic risk analyses to support project decision‑making.Support the Project Lead and Coordinators with ad‑hoc requests.Support QC documentation, feedback, and improvements.Build visual dashboards for mobile equipment asset performance using Power BI.Update and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports.Support development of project schedules and progress tracking in MS Excel and MS Project.Attend weekly project update meetings and technical meetings, capture and distribute minutes, action items,
and lessons learned.QualificationsPursuing a degree in an engineering field.Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Basic understanding or curiosity about project controls, scope management, and quality management.Able to work collaboratively in diverse teams.Experience in Power BI and Maximo is an asset.Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Self‑starter with the ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.Able to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently.Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment.Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly to a diverse audience.Benefits and Compensation Pay Range: CAD $4,833 - $6,125 per month.Financial assistance to help with travel costs and co‑op fees.Opportunity to develop technical skills and gain practical experience while applying academic knowledge to real‑world mining operations and projects.Enjoy mentorship and guidance from experienced specialists.Receive primary consideration for professional positions upon graduation.We value diversity and are committed to an inclusive, barrier‑free hiring process.
