Wendel's Bookstore & Café is located in historic Fort Langley since 1997. We’re a busy, locally-loved café offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, a full espresso bar, and handmade baked goods — all with a focus on quality and community.
What You'll Do
- Deliver outstanding customer service and help create a welcoming space for every guest
- Craft espresso drinks at our espresso bar
- Take orders and process payments on our till system
- Run food to tables and support the kitchen during service
- Clear and reset tables, and keep the café clean and well-stocked
- Pitch in on general café duties as the day requires
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality
- espresso experience an asset — we'll train the right person
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability across mornings, evenings,
weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation — transit options are limited during our earliest and latest shifts
Position Details
- Part-time and full-time shifts available
- Shifts run between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm daily, typically 5–8 hours
- Paid breaks included
Compensation & Benefits
- $18.40–$19.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Tip pool split equally among all café staff — averaging an additional $4–5 per hour worked
