Duties

- Prepare and cook healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and menu plans
- Serve meals to children in a friendly, efficient manner while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with staff to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements and accommodate allergies or special diets
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and food prep surfaces
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed




- Follow all food safety protocols during meal preparation and service to prevent contamination or spoilage

Requirements

- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a focus on food preparation and serving
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience in meal preparation for children or in the food industry is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and serve children effectively
- Certification in food safety or related training is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected
