Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli products, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and retail operations within a dynamic food industry setting.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and slice meats, cheeses, and other deli items according to company standards

- Assist customers with selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with food safety regulations

- Restock shelves and display cases to ensure product availability and presentation

- Manage time effectively to serve customers efficiently during busy periods

- Upsell products to enhance sales and improve customer experience

- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met





- Experience in food preparation, food service

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers

- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during shifts

- Understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling proceduresb

- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is a plus

- Ability to upsell products effectively to maximize sales opportunities
