Overview
We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental team temporary that can lead to a full time position. (Current graduate or experienced). Four days a week Mondays & Tuesdays 9:00am-6:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-5:00pm.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dental office environment.
Duties
- Performs chair-side with dentist with pediatric, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
- Perform oral health assessments and take digital x-rays.
- Apply preventative measures, fluoride treatments and sealants.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Document odontograms.
- Works with post-op patients explaining instructions
- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment and keep regulatory records.
Qualifications
- Level I or II certification
- BLS trained and HARP certified
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- English speaking mandatory/bilingual is an asset.
