South Coast Dental Care is looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Assistant to join our amazing team for a one-year maternity leave contract beginning in August 2026, with the possibility of permanent employment.

Located in beautiful Port Dover, our practice is known for providing high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming workplace. We are proud to have a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together, supports one another, and builds lasting relationships with our patients.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Start Date: August 2026

Term: One-year maternity leave contract, with the possibility of permanent employment

What We’re Looking For

- Level II Dental Assistant preferred
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- ClearDent experience is an asset
- Digital scanning experience is an asset
- A dependable team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities




- Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
- Taking digital radiographs
- Performing digital scans
- Preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments and operatories
- Supporting our dentists, hygienists, and fellow team members
- Maintaining complete and accurate clinical records in ClearDent
- Following current infection prevention and control protocols
- Helping every patient feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for
