DEVELOPMENT TEAM COACH — Learn to Train Certified

Locations: Mississauga & Brampton

Commitment: 6–8 hours/week (weekday evenings & weekends for games)

Type: Part time / Contract

Pay: Competitive, based on experience & certification

About Auriga Football Club

Auriga Football Club is a growing youth development academy built on standards, structure, and long-term player development. We don't chase short-term wins, and we don't run chaotic sessions. We build players properly: technically, mentally, and physically.

We're hiring a Learn to Train certified coach to lead one of our Development Team groups, working at the stage where technical foundations and game understanding are built for keeps.

Who We're Looking For

This role is a good fit if you:

- Hold a valid Canada Soccer Learn to Train certification (required)
- Understand the Learn to Train stage and can design sessions around it, not just run drills
- Have experience coaching players in the 9–12 age range at a club or academy level
- Value structure, standards, and consistency over casual coaching
- Are open to feedback and accountability
- Want to build a long-term coaching career, not just collect hours

If you're looking for casual coaching with no expectations, this is not a fit.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Learn to Train aligned sessions for an assigned Development Team group
- Build individual player development tracking across the season
- Set the standard for players and any assistant coaches on your team

- Run structured evaluations and communicate progress to parents professionally
- Represent Auriga's culture and standards on and off the field

Certifications

- Canada Soccer Learn to Train — Required
- Canada Soccer Soccer for Life — Asset
- Any additional coaching education (goalkeeping, futsal, strength & conditioning for youth) - Asset

What We Expect (Non-Negotiable)

- Arrive 15 minutes early to every session
- High energy, clear communication, and professionalism
- Willingness to receive feedback without defensiveness
- Consistent attendance and reliability
- Respect for players, parents, and teammates

If you struggle with punctuality, accountability, or structure, this will not be a good fit.

What We Offer

- Competitive hourly pay, reflective of certification and experience
- Consistent weekly hours with an assigned team
- Clear session plans, standards, and development frameworks to work within
- Opportunity to grow into a Head of Development Team or Technical Director track
- Mentorship within a serious development environment

How to Apply Send the following to [email protected]:

- A short introduction
- Coaching and/or playing background
- Confirmation of your Learn to Train certification (and any others held)
- Why you want to coach at the Development Team level in a structured environment

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $30.00 per hour

Licence/Certification

- Learn to Train - Ontario Soccer Certification (required)

Work Location: In person
