The Canadian Data-Intensive Astrophysics Platform (CanDIAPL) is seeking an Astronomical Software Developer for a three-year term. You will collaborate with an international research team to create software that facilitates the remote viewing of multi-messenger astrophysical data. Key responsibilities include developing software pipelines for scientific data transfers and managing repositories that support advanced astronomical data usage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-develop software infrastructure for CanDIAPL servers
• Create a portal for remote data viewing




• Develop automated data transfer pipelines from MeerKAT telescope
• Maintain software for data retrieval from various astronomical sources
• Ensure productive data transfer to CanDIAPL servers
Requirements:
• Experience in astronomical data processing
• Proficient in software development and repositories
• Strong understanding of multi-messenger astronomy
• Knowledge of remote user portal creation
• Familiarity with MeerKAT and MWA Telescope data
