Job description AAA Canada is seeking a Composite Technician to join its team.
The candidate will perform preparation, cutting, assembly, heat treatment and inspection of composite parts, following technical specifications and using appropriate tools.
Responsibilities
- Cut carbon fiber and fiberglass fabrics.
- Prepare tooling, lay up fabrics and compact.
- Prepare resin, install the mold in the oven and monitor curing.
- Trim and finish parts: deburring, edge trimming and sanding.
- Select appropriate tools to assemble, bond and fit composite parts (e.g., carbon fiber, Kevlar).
- Occasionally perform machining tasks (drilling, riveting) or heat treatments.
- Use customer technical data (production, quality, safety, work instructions, routings, environmental instructions, assembly instructions, drawings, etc.).
- Ensure the technical adjustment of the assembled unit after inspection.
- Perform heat treatment of parts (heating, tempering, etc.) and ensure final adjustment after inspection.
Skills and Qualifications
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in structural assembly, plastics and composites, mechanical and production engineering, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in composite structure assembly and maintenance.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical documentation and aeronautical parts lists.
- Detail-oriented and rigorous; manual dexterity; team player; autonomous and methodical.
