Job Summary

Par & Pour is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and hospitality-driven Director of Golf to lead our indoor golf operations and create an exceptional experience for golfers of all skill levels.

As Director of Golf, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our premium golf simulators, golf memberships, lessons, leagues, tournaments, corporate events, and golf programming. You will be responsible for building a strong golf community while ensuring every guest receives professional, welcoming, and engaging service.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands golf, enjoys working with people, and can help grow the golf side of Par & Pour through programming, instruction, memberships, events, and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all aspects of Par & Pour's indoor golf operations, including simulator bookings, guest experience, memberships, leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and golf events.
- Ensure the golf simulators and surrounding golf areas are properly maintained, organized, clean, and ready for guests at all times.
- Assist guests with simulator setup, golf technology, game selection, troubleshooting, and general golf-related questions.
- Develop and execute golf programming designed to increase simulator utilization, including leagues, tournaments, beginner programs, clinics, social golf nights, junior programming, and seasonal events.
- Provide professional golf lessons, coaching, club fitting, or player development programs where qualified.
- Build relationships with members and regular guests while creating a strong golf community at Par & Pour.
- Promote and grow Par & Pour's golf membership program through guest engagement, lead generation, follow-up, and relationship building.




- Work closely with the Sales & Events team to develop and execute corporate golf events, team-building experiences, tournaments, private parties, and group bookings.
- Assist in developing golf packages and promotions that combine golf with Par & Pour's food, beverage, and hospitality offerings.
- Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop golf team members to maintain high standards of professionalism and guest service.
- Establish operating procedures and service standards for the golf department.
- Monitor simulator utilization, memberships, lessons, events, and other golf-related revenue opportunities and identify ways to improve performance.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly while ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Maintain appropriate golf equipment, rental clubs, golf balls, accessories, and related inventory.
- Ensure all golf operations follow company policies and appropriate safety procedures.
- Collaborate with management, restaurant, bar, events, and marketing teams to provide a seamless overall Par & Pour experience.
- Represent Par & Pour professionally within Edmonton's golf and business communities and help develop partnerships that generate awareness and new business.

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of golf and a genuine passion for the game.
- Previous experience in golf operations, golf instruction, club management, indoor golf, recreation, hospitality,



or a related leadership position.
- PGA of Canada membership or professional golf certification is considered a strong asset but is not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Previous experience providing golf lessons or player development programs is an asset.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on hospitality and guest relationships.
- Comfortable working with golf simulator technology and learning recent systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage bookings, memberships, leagues, events, and programming.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to build memberships, lessons, leagues, events, and repeat business.
- Ability to work collaboratively with food & beverage, sales, events, and management teams.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business requirements.

The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching a beginner one moment, engaging with an experienced golfer the next, helping execute a corporate tournament, and developing new programs that bring guests back regularly.

You should understand that Par & Pour combines golf, hospitality, dining, social experiences, and events under one roof. The Director of Golf will play an important role in bringing those experiences together.

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
