Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our lawn care, property maintenance, and snow removal services. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, managing schedules, ensuring quality control, supporting customer satisfaction, and helping the company operate efficiently year-round.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance field operations, staff management, client communication, and logistical planning while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities

Operations & Scheduling

- Coordinate daily schedules, routes, and crew assignments
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
- Monitor workflow, labour productivity, and equipment utilization
- Assist with seasonal planning and operational logistics
- Adjust schedules based on weather, emergencies, or client needs

Crew Leadership
- Lead, train, and support field staff and foremen
- Conduct regular site visits and quality control inspections
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
- Ensure staff follow all company safety procedures and policies

Client & Customer Service
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, service concerns, and special requests
- Resolve operational or service-related issues promptly
- Maintain positive relationships with commercial and residential clients

Equipment & Property Management
- Monitor equipment condition and maintenance schedules
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ensure crews have proper tools, materials,



and supplies
- Assist with inventory tracking and material ordering

Seasonal Responsibilities

Summer Operations

- Lawn maintenance operations
- Property maintenance coordination
- Garden and landscaping project oversight
- Quality inspections and route efficiency management

Winter Operations
- Snow removal coordination and dispatching
- Weather monitoring and storm planning
- Managing sidewalk crews and equipment operators
- Ensuring timely completion of commercial snow contracts

Qualifications
- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, property maintenance, or snow removal operations
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and weather-dependent environments
- Knowledge of landscaping and snow removal equipment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and winter storm events

- Route planning and scheduling experience
- Experience operating commercial equipment
- Basic estimating or job costing knowledge
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to lead by example and work alongside crews when needed

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
