Overall Job Purpose The Intermediate Pod Owner is accountable for the end-to-end outcomes of a cross-functional pod, owning the “what and why” and ensuring delivery aligns to business objectives, portfolio strategy, and platform fundamentals. This role operates with full outcome accountability, balancing value, risk, quality, and sustainability within the technology delivery model.The role provides clear prioritization and decision-making, maintains alignment across stakeholders, and enables the pod to deliver iteratively with transparency and quality.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- Act as the end-to-end accountable owner of pod outcomes, setting the pod vision, priorities, and roadmap and ensuring alignment to agreed objectives.
- Own and continuously refine the pod backlog, making informed trade-offs across value, risk, capacity, quality, and technical sustainability.
- Ensure intended outcomes are clearly understood by pod members and stakeholders before execution begins.




- Provide leadership within the pod, fostering clarity of purpose, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop pod team members through regular 1:1s, clear expectations, timely feedback, and coaching to improve outcomes and delivery maturity; leverage Chapters for upskilling and practice guidance.
- Ensure effective onboarding, role clarity, and ways of working within the pod; address performance or conduct concerns early and coordinate with appropriate leaders/partners.
- Partner with Product and Delivery Chapters on talent planning (skills gaps, development priorities, and future capability needs), providing input to staffing and succession discussions.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for quality, stability, and technical health within the pod.
- Represent the pod in governance forums, demos, and stakeholder engagements, communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions with transparency.
- Proactively manage cross-pod, cross-platform, and vendor dependencies, escalating and resolving issues that could impact outcomes.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree considered an asset • 7–10 years of progressive experience in product, technology, or delivery leadership roles • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and partner effectively across stakeholders • Agile ways of working and backlog management • Strong product and delivery management capability • Proven ability to manage complexity, risks, and dependencies • Demonstrated outcome-focused decision-making and stakeholder leadership

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $149,500 - $192,500 which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
