Hours per Week: 37.5

Salary: $83.37 - $106.88 Hourly

Unit Summary The Regional Neurosciences, Spine and Stroke Program provides specialized inpatient and outpatient services across the continuum of care for patients with neurological, neurosurgical, spine and stroke-related conditions. The program delivers comprehensive care through an interprofessional, multidisciplinary approach and supports regional access, coordination and care delivery across Central South Ontario.

The Program includes acute and outpatient neurology services, neurosurgery, neuro-interventional services, spine services, regional stroke care, and associated ambulatory programs. The program provides tertiary and quaternary services to patients across the region and works collaboratively with provincial, regional and local partners to advance clinical excellence, innovation, education, research and system integration.

Position Summary The Program Director is responsible for all activities encompassing both the administrative, operational and patient care functions of the Regional Neurosciences, Spine and Stroke Program. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership and sound decision-making to ensure that the goals and objectives of the program's strategic and operational plans are achieved and aligned with the corporate strategic plan.

Working in partnership with the Vice President,



Medical Heads of Service, Chiefs, Managers, Skilled Practice leaders, researchers and other internal and external stakeholders, the Director ensures the provision of safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care, research and education.

The Director is accountable for strategic planning, quality and patient experience, access and flow, operational performance, human resources, financial stewardship, program development, and regional system integration. This includes operating within funded volumes and resources, supporting quality-based procedure performance where applicable, and balancing emergent, urgent and scheduled care needs across the portfolio.

Qualifications

- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership and line management experience.
- Previous clinical experience in a relevant health-related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead clinical excellence, innovation, education and research.
- Demonstrated strategic, analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Experience leading strategic program development.
- Demonstrated leadership in regional and provincial system integration.
- Excellent communication, relationship building and change leadership skills.
- Demonstrated scholarly and/or professional activity.
- Strong business, financial and operational acumen.

Proficiency in both Official Languages would be an asset. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
