Works closely with: Discipleship Team, Staff Team

Position Summary:

The Discipleship Coordinator provides essential administrative and organizational support for the church’s discipleship initiatives. This role ensures smooth coordination, communication, and event planning to enhance spiritual growth and leadership development within the congregation. The role also assists with growth initiatives, such as multi-site development.

This role includes weekday in-office hours with occasional weekend commitments.

Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications:

- Spiritually and emotionally mature Christian

- Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.

- Attention to detail with robust administrative skills

- Proficient with computers

- Experience with Planning Centre Online and Google Workspace or similar church management and organizational system/software

- Demonstrated success in the recruitment and leadership of volunteer teams

- Ability to troubleshoot when complications arise and offer creative and strategic solutions

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills

- Creative, highly-organized, and effectively manage multiple priorities and assignments

- Self-initiating, seek ways to improve and make systems more efficient to bring projects to completion

- Ability to maintain confidentiality

- Preferred Bachelor's degree in related area of study

Primary Responsibilities:

- Administrative Tasks: Handle scheduling, correspondence, and documentation for ministry activities

- Life Groups Administration

- Schedule Life Group events such as: Life Group Launches, Coaching Clusters, Life Stories, and LG retreat.

- Equip the Life Group Admin team to manage the Life Group waitlist, onboard people to groups, and follow up with leaders to ensure new members are contacted in a timely manner.

- Equip the Life Groups Events team to implement the aforementioned events.



This includes hospitality, atmosphere, set-up and tear-down, among other duties.

- Course/Class Administration

- Organize Discipleship Classes (currently 2 seasons of 4 weeks) by working with the Discipleship and Groups Pastor to decide on course offerings and registration, instructor recruitment, instructor orientation, attendance tracking, garnering feedback, and workplace.

- Manage Baptisms (currently 3 seasons of 3 weeks) by administering the course, equipping the Baptism SERVE team to implement the course, track attendance, and be prepared for Baptism Sunday. Liaise with the Weekend Experience Team to plan the logistics of the Baptism Service.

- Implement the Discovery Course (Currently 4 seasons of 3 weeks) by maintaining attendance records, ensuring materials are prepared, training the elders and facilitators, organizing workplace and food, garnering course feedback, and following up with the participants seeking Ministry Partnership

- ESL Fellowships: Being the first point of contact for the ESL fellowship leaders and ensuring they are accomplishing their intended purpose. This includes monthly meetings with Fellowship Lead Teams.

- SERVE Team Management: Recruit, train and mobilize SERVE teams to implement the aforementioned responsibilities according to the Multi-Layered Leadership structure. This includes ongoing leader care.

- Other duties as assigned
