DISHWASHER & CAFE CLEANING STAFF

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dishwasher & Cleaning Staff member to join our cafe team.

This position is responsible for keeping the cafe clean, organized, and ready for customers throughout the day. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, and is comfortable staying busy in a fast-paced cafe workplace.

Responsibilities

- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, cups, glasses, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Scrub dishes thoroughly before placing them in the dishwasher and ensure all items are properly cleaned.
- Clean and wipe down customer tables after every customer and keep tables ready for the next guests.
- Keep floors clean at all times by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Clean and sanitize counters, service areas, sinks, and other cafe surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling regularly and maintain clean garbage areas.
- Keep washrooms and other customer areas clean and presentable.
- Restock cafe supplies, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other items as needed.
- Make sure supplies are properly organized and inform the manager when stock is running low.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area throughout the shift.
- Assist with general cleaning duties as required.




- Follow all cafe cleaning, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.
- Work as part of the team and assist other staff when needed during busy periods.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire cafe during the shift.

What We Are Looking For
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Previous dishwasher, cleaning, restaurant, or cafe experience is an asset but not required.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical cleaning duties.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Must be dependable and able to follow instructions.

Important Cleanliness is a major priority for this position. The successful candidate must be proactive and continuously look around the cafe for areas that need cleaning, rather than waiting to be asked.
