Wag-A-Tail Doggie Daycare is currently seeking a dedicated, and passionate individual to join our team! This role is a full time position.
The ideal candidate will have punctuality, exceptional customer service skills, and a general knowledge of dog breeds and behaviors. Must be comfortable working with a larger group of dogs, varying in breeds and sizes. As a Daycare Attendant, this is NOT a position of just solely cuddling our canine companions, though it sure is a bonus!
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary.
- Provide basic care for the dogs, including feeding, administering medication as needed, and ensuring access to fresh water.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog's day, including any concerns or notable behaviors.
- Cleaning up after dogs, this includes pee, poo, and vomit.
- Being on your feet for long periods of time.
Experience
- Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, kennel, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Basic knowledge of dog breeds, behaviors, and health is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
