Rate of Pay $21.44 (As per Collective Agreement) This position is for an existing vacancy As a Dietary Aide at Long Term Care, you'll contribute more than just your professional skills; you'll create meaningful relationships with the individuals who call Sienna Senior Living their home. You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team,
working in a fast-paced setting where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a
Dietary Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean setting for residents’. How You’ll Succeed
1. Food Preparation & Food Handling
Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals Follow residents' diets and food preferences Take the menu orders from the residents Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques Who You Are
Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain You are committed to providing compassionate support that provides seniors to live their lives to the fullest You are detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff You may bring experiencein food servicefrom institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it’s not a requirement You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position Sienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
