Orr Cleaners is looking for a dependable and hardworking Drycleaning Assistant to join our production team. This is a hands-on position assisting with the day-to-day processing of drycleaning, laundry and linen items.
What You'll Be Doing
- Hanging and organizing loads of drycleaning according to due dates and production priorities
- Sorting garments by colour, due date and processing requirements
- Assisting with stain treatment and spotting garments
- Loading and unloading drycleaning equipment
- Loading washers and dryers with household and linen items
- Washing and processing shirts
- Inspecting garments and ensuring they are properly organized throughout the cleaning process
- Keeping the production area clean, organized and running efficiently
- Other general drycleaning and laundry duties as required
What We're Looking For:
- Reliable, dependable and punctual
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift laundry bags
- Organized and able to keep track of multiple orders and due dates
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced production environment
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Previous drycleaning, laundry or production experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
Hours: Monday to Friday 5am- 1pm
No weekends
