We are hiring a full-time Dual Ticket Journeyman HET / Electrician for our Grande Prairie, AB. location.

WAGE: $55.00 - $60.00 PER HOUR, depending on experience and qualifications

SCHEDULE: 5 DAYS ON / 2 DAYS OFF

JOB OUTLINE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and documentation of a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the organization.

This position will work closely with our HET and Operations teams and will provide both shop and field support as required.

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
- Complete electrical inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on transfer pumps, VFDs, control panels, distribution components, cabling, submersibles, and other related equipment
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and malfunctions using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting at operational locations
- Provide field support for equipment and operational locations as required
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and equipment documentation
- Test repaired and installed equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Complete accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation in the company's asset management system
- Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, inspections, maintenance, and parts used
- Assist with asset tracking, organization, and management
- Assist with inventory management of electrical equipment, parts, and supplies




- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for electrical support, equipment repairs, parts, and other services
- Work efficiently and productively with all departments
- Identify potential equipment issues and communicate required repairs or preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational requirements
- Travel to field and operational locations as required to perform diagnostics, repairs, installation, and troubleshooting

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification
- Journeyman Electrician certification
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with pumps, VFDs, control panels, distribution components, cabling, and submersible equipment is considered an asset
- Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to field and operational locations as required
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

- This is a Grande Prairie-based position.
- Must hold both Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) and Journeyman Electrician certifications.
- Must be available for on-call requirements as needed to support operations.
- Must be available to travel to field and operational locations for equipment installation, setup, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Occasional travel to remote locations may be required.
