Pathways Academy is a well-established private school and early learning centre serving children 18 months to Grade 4. For over 20 years, we have delivered a blended educational approach combining Montessori pedagogy with traditional instruction in small, supportive classroom environments.

We are seeking a Early Years Educator (Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), Montessori Accreditied Teacher, or OCT) for a progressive employment opportunity that may include:

Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following:

- ECE Diploma with current RECE membership
- Montessori Teaching Diploma (MACTE or equivalent accreditation)
- OCT certification

Additional Requirements:

- Experience working with children aged 18 months–6 years (Toddler/Casa preferred)
- Interest or background in Montessori pedagogy
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming aligned with Montessori principles
- Prepare and maintain an organized, engaging classroom setting
- Support children’s academic, emotional, and social development
- Observe, document,



and track student progress (including report cards)
- Maintain consistent weekly communication with families
- Participate in parent-teacher interviews
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
- Collaborate effectively within a team-based environment

Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Minimum 1 year classroom experience
- Additional coursework in child growth and development
- Experience with Quality Child Care Niagara initiatives

Employment Details Full-Time School-Year Position:

- Monday–Friday
- 35+ guaranteed hours per week
