StudentRDH Learning

Canada

We help students pass high-stakes licensing exams through brands like StudentRDH (Dental Hygiene), SmarterDA (Dental Assisting), CleverOrcaVT (Veterinary Technician), and CleverOrcaPN (Practical Nursing), with more verticals ahead. Producing great educational content used to be the bottleneck. AI and new technology have changed that, and we're moving fast to take advantage of it.

This role is focused on both sides of that: keeping our existing brands running strong and helping us research, build, and launch into new markets—executing under the direction of our education lead, who is also our CEO and founder.

About us

Founded in 2014, we help students succeed in high-stakes licensing exams. We go beyond traditional exam prep by integrating memory science, learning psychology, test-taking strategy, confidence-building, and anxiety reduction into everything we create.

Our brands:

- StudentRDH.com/.ca—Dental Hygiene
- SmarterDA.com — Dental Assisting
- CleverOrcaVT.com — Veterinary Technician
- CleverOrcaPN.ca — Practical Nursing (expanding now)

We serve thousands of students a year through fully digital education, online events, and our own published textbooks and reference materials. We had 30,000 success stories and are proud to make a positive impact in our young adults’ lives.

We're a small, close-knit team, currently hiring for this role to help us grow. Small doesn't mean limited—we move fast, everyone's work has real, visible impact, and we're building something we're proud of.

Our core values: growth mindset, humility, respect, and ownership. We believe in creating something genuinely valuable and useful for our students and in treating each other—and our contributors—with the same respect we expect for ourselves.

Who we serve:

- B2C — students. The majority of our business. Individual exam candidates who buy our prep directly.
- B2B — schools and institutions. Programs that adopt us for a whole cohort.

We also run smaller educational methodology and continuing education lines, which we think have room to grow considerably.

Our mission is simple: help students get results, pass their exams, and feel confident doing it.

What you'll own

AI & technology

- Actively test and bring in tools

o AI video and avatar presenters, AI image and diagram generation, automation, and new content formats o quizzing platforms, exam simulation tools, adaptive/CAT-style testing, and LMS options
- Run real, scoped experiments and report back with findings, costs, and a recommendation — not just a demo
- Work with developers, designers, and contractors to turn education needs into working products
- Note: You don't need to be a technology and AI expert. We are all learning as we go. However, you need to become one quickly within our education segment, and help us understand where education technology is going next, not where the opportunities are

Content production

- Own creation of question banks, digital courses, printed textbooks, reference materials, webinars, typo edits, and case studies—ex. reviving our paused sonography project through to publication
- Use AI throughout production—drafting, restructuring, reorganizing, quality control—following our existing content framework and mastery model
- Help the founder create and update the education framework
- Become genuinely fluent in each exam's guidelines (what's tested, what changes year to year)
- Ensure everything is finalized, formatted, and ready for digital delivery or print

New verticals—research through execution

- Identify and validate where we expand next, inside healthcare or beyond it—market size, competition, demand, pricing
- Talk to schools, faculty, and students directly to understand real demand, not just desk research
- Turn findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations
- When something validates, help build it—sourcing speakers, producing content, setting pricing, and working with Marketing to bring it to market
- This includes helping us explore a potential new brand around teaching methodology itself—how to teach and how to learn. This is a new segment we want to add focus to. Help the founder put together the “how to teach” library.

Managing subject-matter experts

- Recruit, evaluate, contract,

and onboard the practising clinicians and experts who help build our content
- Set clear scopes, timelines, and deliverables, and hold people to them
- Run quality reviews and send work back when standards aren't met
- Make the call—professionally and respectfully—when it's time to part ways with a contributor

Media and presentation

- Produce and edit video: short-form social, webinar recordings, on-demand lessons
- Create images, diagrams, and visual explanations using AI tools and Canva
- Create and present webinars for schools and students on test-taking strategy and learning methods
- Represent us at conferences

Student and school support

- Refind how to answer student questions and capture their test experience to enrich our content
- Bringing in a subject-matter expert when we can't answer something internally
- Support compliance reporting and analysis for school partners who require it

Working across the team

- Work with our school and partnership managers on institutional relationships and feedback
- Partner with Marketing to take new brands and products to market
- Keep Operations, Marketing, and Sales informed of upcoming education changes
- Daily meetings Mon–Thu, plus weekly, monthly and quarterly planning

Logistics, others

- Some travel required, domestic and occasional international, for conferences and school visits
- Must be available for scheduled evening webinars
- Ongoing, throughout the role:

✔Supporting students

✔Working with subject-matter expert

✔ Updating existing content

- New books from the founder on educational methodology and test-taking anxiety are in the draft. Support with editing, finding experts, etc. Is needed.

This role is a fit if you

- Turn open-ended questions into research that leads to a decision. We are looking for nimble thinkers.
- Execute ideas quickly and effectively.
- Work with the team virtually. Help create a culture of support, good work, and impact.
- Use AI confidently and practically — every day, not just for brainstorming.
- Have led projects and held contributors accountable for quality and deadlines.
- Are highly organized and comfortable running several projects at once.
- Learn new domains fast. You'll be expected to get competent in fields you've never worked in. Ex. VTNE exam.
- Communicate clearly, present confidently, and lead with both firmness and kindness.
- Move fast and adapt as you go—be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, not waiting for a perfect process.
- Respect direction and structure and don't need to be the one steering to feel valued.
- Stay curious and humble about education—even with a background in it, you don't assume you already have the answers.
- Have a growth mindset and align with our mission of helping students succeed.

This is a mid-level role, with the potential to grow into more senior ownership as our company grows. We're looking for someone with years of professional work experience who's ready to take on real responsibility.

This role is not a fit if you

- Fear using AI and new technology.
- Want to teach. This is not a teaching role.
- Cannot work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can do only strategy, or only execution. We are looking for someone who can help us with both.
- Find it hard to have tough conversations to get others on track.
- Want a role with stable boundaries. This one changes shape as we evolve.
- Like to take your time—researching every angle, following a step-by-step process before acting. We move fast, and mistakes along the way are expected.

Qualifications

- Experience leading projects and managing contributors or contractors
- Demonstrated research ability — market, competitive, or product
- Comfortable working across basic productivity and collaboration tools — Slack, Notion, OneDrive, Canva, Kahoot, Zoom, LMS platforms, or similar — and picking up new ones quickly

- Confident and hands-on with AI tools (e.g. Claude or similar)—actually using them daily, curious to experiment with things like AI avatars, chatbots, and tutoring tools
- Comfortable being hands-on with video editing, and willing to learn or delegate as needed—we're moving more into video content
- Strong written and verbal English
- Experience working fully remotely with distributed teams
- Nimble and a fast learner—comfortable picking up new tools and skills quickly
- Background in education, higher education, edtech, or professional training is a plus, but not a requirement—what matters most is how you think and move, not where you've worked
- Working closely with the founder and CEO on a daily basis.

Pace, workload and sustainability

- Core working hours are respected.
- Work outside core hours is rare and typically limited to scheduled webinars.
- We prevent burnout through clear prioritization, dependency planning, strong collaboration with operations and assistants, and hands-on leadership rather than task dumping.
- We use a system to run our meetings so they stay focused—clear quarterly goals and to-dos, not open-ended brainstorming.

You are responsible for outcomes. You are not expected to do everything alone.

What success looks like (6–12 months)

- Sonography books finalized or actively releasing
- Many AI or technology experiment run end-to-end, with a recommendation the team can act on
- AI and digital tools actively in use with measurable gains in speed or quality
- A decision-ready research memo on the educational methodology chance — demand, pricing, speakers, competition, and a recommendation
- A reliable pool of vetted subject-matter experts across our growth brands
- Editing and producing video content
- New verticals in active development, with clear evidence behind each decision
- The methodology brand either launched, or set aside with clear evidence — both are good outcomes
- Repeatable playbooks in place for launching a new vertical
- Yearly content and revision processes documented and replicable
- Full ownership of creating educational material — slides, presentations, videos, graphics, worksheets
- Representing our brand at conferences and industry events
- Guiding the team on yearly updated guidelines from exam authorities
- SME vetted, hired, delegated work and results owned
