Job Overview

Seeking reliable, mature and dedicated Educational Assistants to join our small team supporting students with autism, learning disabilities and mild intellectual disabilities at a private school in Kanata. This role is suitable for those with related experience including ABA therapists, DSW, SSW, CYC or ECE grads, or those with professional experience working with elementary school aged children. Hours are yet to be confirmed, but we will be needing individuals from 8:30-12:00pm, 12:45-3pm, 8:30-3pm various days of the week.

Hours per week available range from 6.5 to 20. Note these are not full time roles and are independent contractor positions, meaning that you will work for and be paid by the individual families rather than the school.

Requirements

- Prior classroom experience or hands-on experience working with children in educational settings




- Ability to communicate effectively: strong oral and written English skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments preferred
- Solid organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of academic concepts taught in grades 3-8
- Car or reliable transportation to Kanata
