ELA Catalyst

Mosquito School is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill the full-time position of an ELA Catalyst. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide support to in-school professional staff in literacy instructional improvement.
- Provide professional development activities and work with in-school staff in exploring a wide variety of literacy instructional strategies.
- Work extensively with students to help them improve specific reading/writing skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies.
- Focus on specific needs of particular students where regular classroom instruction is not sufficient.
- Work with the teacher to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child.

Qualifications:

- Certification in special education would be an asset. Minimum 3-5 years of successful teaching experience.

Salary based on the qualifications and experience
