Intent of the process The intent of this process is to staff one (1) EL-05 position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Cold Lake, Alberta. A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions at the Department of National Defence.

- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post‑secondary study in this subject.

Experience - Experience with general concepts of metrology within electronics calibration.

- Experience working in a maintenance/repair shop, laboratory or test facility with a focus on electronics.
- Experience in preparing documentation such as describing development, test plans, test results and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Competencies - Demonstrating integrity and respect.

- Working effectively with others.
- Showing initiative and being action‑oriented.
- Communication: writing, expressing ideas (e.g., orally, using non‑verbal language such as sign language, or using assistive technology), and active listening, which allow you to understand and be understood by others.
