About NENAS - North East Native Advancing Society (NENAS) is a non-profit, Indigenous-led organization with over 30 years of experience providing employment, education, training, and community-based programs throughout Northeastern BC.

About the Position - NENAS is looking for a friendly, organized, and client-focused individual to join our team.

This position combines Employment Assistance Services, front-end client support, and coordination of our weekly Elders Program. You will work one-on-one with clients to support their employment and education goals, assist with employment-related funding and resources, and help coordinate activities and services for Elders.

This is a varied position where you will work with clients, community members, Elders, and the NENAS team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide welcoming front-end service by answering and directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting clients and visitors.
- Provide information related to employment, education, training, and community resources.
- Assist clients with forms, applications, appointments, and program-related questions.
- Provide one-on-one employment counselling and client support.
- Assist clients with resumes, job searches, interviews, training, PPE, safety tickets, and other employment resources.
- Complete client intakes, action plans, case notes, and required documentation.
- Maintain confidential client files and enter information into ARMS and other databases.
- Coordinate and support NENAS's weekly Elders Program and activities.




- Work collaboratively with the NENAS team to support clients and program delivery.

Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in employment counselling, case management, client services, or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in Career Development, Counselling, Social Services, or a related field is an asset.
- CCDP certification is an asset.
- Solid communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ARMS experience is an asset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of and respect for First Nations culture and communities.
- Experience working with Elders or Indigenous communities is an asset.

Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's licence.
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check required upon hire.
- Occasional travel may be required.
