Position Summary

MW4WSS is seeking a dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic English and Computer Tutor to provide basic English language instruction and introductory computer skills training to adult participants. The successful candidate will create a supportive learning workplace that helps learners build confidence, improve communication skills, and develop essential digital literacy skills for everyday life, education, employment, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver beginner- to intermediate-level English language instruction to adult learners.
- Teach basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet browsing, online safety, and virtual communication tools.
- Develop lesson plans and learning materials that meet participants' needs and learning goals.
- Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support participants with online forms, job searches, résumé preparation, and accessing community resources, when appropriate.
- Maintain attendance records and learner progress reports.
- Create an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the Program/Communications Assistant and Executive Director to coordinate classes and activities.
- Participate in program meetings and professional development as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Diploma, degree, or certification in Education, TESL, Adult Education, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.




- Experience teaching English, computer literacy, or adult education is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and basic computer operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach learners from diverse educational, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic (spoken and written) is required.
- Experience working with newcomers, immigrants, refugees, or multicultural communities is an asset.
