The Equities Cash Order Management System team is responsible for a global platform used by Citi traders and sales traders. This system is critical for trading in equities, derivatives, convertible bonds, and provides access to algorithmic trading. In this senior-level position, you will be a key contributor responsible for enhancing trading functionality to drive business growth.
Your duties will encompass the full software development lifecycle, from initial development and testing to deployment and ongoing production support. This role requires close partnership with a wide range of teams, including business analysts, the product platform team, QA, production support, as well as regulatory, compliance, and audit groups. A key part of your responsibilities will also be to proactively address technical hygiene, security, and vulnerability remediation to ensure the platform's integrity and stability.
Engage closely with Equities Sales and Trading desks to understand key functional and non-functional requirements, handle prioritization, and address day-to-day questions. Resolve a variety of high-impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. Provide expertise in your area and advanced knowledge of applications programming, ensuring application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
Collaborate with other members of the team to extend functionality and enhance the performance of existing processes. Rapid adoption of AI toolkits in line with the firm’s strategy of modernization of the development process. Compute and estate management including hygiene, security, and vulnerability items.
Be instrumental in the design and implementation of automated integration testing. Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts,
allocating work as necessary. Provide second-line support, including out-of-hours, for the processes and components you develop. 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in core Java application development or systems analysis role. ~ Experience or familiarity working on an Equities trading platform . ~ Primary development expertise in core Java development, including knowledge of collections, IO, multi-threading, and generics. ~ Highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable taking on new challenges and picking up and learning new technologies. ~ Familiarity with contemporary infrastructure, cloud technologies, containerization technologies (e.g., Exposure to and interest in AI tools and technologies is a plus. ~ Prior experience developing front-office Trading applications/systems is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
