Role Description The Estimator at RCS Membrane is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for reviewing project specifications and drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates and bids for membrane and related construction projects.

Day-to-day tasks include analyzing labor, material, and equipment requirements, requesting and evaluating supplier and, and maintaining up-to-date pricing databases. The Estimator collaborates with project managers, site supervisors, and the procurement team to clarify scopes of work, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support bid proposals. The role also involves preparing detailed estimate documentation,



participating in tender reviews, and assisting with project budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

- Must understand foundation details from Waterproofing/ Damp proofing.
- Thinness of foundation insulation including the CFI Insulation
- Understand the Under slab vapor barriers. system's. .
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills for interpreting drawings, specifications, and performing accurate quantity take-offs.
- Proficiency with estimating or construction management software and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, document management systems).
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costing principles; experience with membrane or building envelope systems is an asset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear estimates, reports, and bid documentation, and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in estimating, project coordination, or a similar role in the construction industry is preferred.
- Commitment to safe work practices and familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and industry regulations.
