As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Estimator is a key member of our pre-construction team, responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates across all project types. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, and subcontractors, the Estimator plays a critical role in securing new work and ensuring projects are set up for financial success. This is an onsite position with travel to job sites as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to fully understand project scope.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all project types (civil, HVAC, demolition, and general construction).
- Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Review and solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers; evaluate submissions and make

recommendations.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure estimates align with project execution strategies.
- Maintain and update estimating databases, unit cost libraries, and historical bid data.
- Track tender results and support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
- Prepare and submit complete tender packages within required deadlines.




- Travel to job sites as required to support pre-construction activities.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Valid security clearance (candidates must be eligible to obtain clearance).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to job sites as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (ASSETS)
- Experience in civil construction, HVAC systems, and/or demolition projects.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital takeoffs and document management.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with federal, provincial, or municipal tendering processes.
- Experience with construction estimating software, and a demonstrated ability to learn new tools and streamline admin work

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
