We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our auto body shop team. The Estimator is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and serving as the key point of contact between customers, insurance companies, and the repair team throughout the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software

(e.g., Mitchell)

- Identify all visible and likely hidden damage to minimize supplements and repair delays

- Photograph vehicle damage and document findings thoroughly for insurance and internal records

- Follow SGI appraisal guidelines.

- Communicate with customers to explain the estimate, repair process, and expected timelines

- Liaise with insurance adjusters to review, negotiate, and finalize estimates and supplements

- Coordinate with the repair planner and shop technicians to ensure estimates align with actual repair scope

- Follow up on outstanding supplements and ensure timely approval to keep vehicles moving through the shop

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OEM repair procedures, parts pricing, and labor guides

- Ensure all estimates comply with insurance company guidelines and shop quality standards

- Provide excellent customer service throughout the estimating and repair process

Qualifications





- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an estimator in a collision repair environment

- Journeyman Auto Body Technician certification or equivalent industry experience an asset

- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and labor operations

- Proficiency with estimating software (What Automating Software do we use?)

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to negotiate confidently and professionally with insurance adjusters

- Valid Saskatchewan driver's license in good standing

- I-CAR certification considered an asset
