Location: Western Nunavut (FIFO from Edmonton)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Millwrights for a major mining construction project in western Nunavut. This is an exceptional long-term opportunity offering both temporary assignments and potential permanent placement with our client. Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment in mining operations
- Perform mechanical installations including conveyors, crushers, mills, and processing equipment
- Align and balance rotating equipment using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Collaborate with other trades on construction and maintenance projects
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and mining regulations

Required Qualifications

- Journeyman Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Alberta-based candidates strongly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years industrial millwright experience
- Mining or heavy industrial experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
- Ability to work in remote camp environments




- Physical fitness for demanding work conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous mining industry experience
- Experience with large-scale industrial equipment
- Welding certifications (advantage)
- Additional safety certifications (H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, etc.)

Safety Requirements

- H2S Alive certification
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- WHMIS training
- Fall protection certification
- Additional mining-specific safety training (provided if needed)
