NT Painting & Decoration Inc. is a Winnipeg-based construction company specializing in residential and commercial drywall finishing, painting, and restoration work.

We are looking for an experienced drywall installer and taper who takes pride in clean, high-quality work and can complete projects safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Position Overview

This role is suited for someone with hands-on drywall boarding, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing experience. The successful candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working on residential and commercial job sites. You will work with supervisors, painters, and other trades to complete drywall work to a smooth, paint-ready standard.

Responsibilities

Duties may include

- Measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels according to project requirements
- Boarding, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces
- Applying joint compound to create smooth, paint-ready finishes
- Repairing damaged drywall and blending repairs with existing surfaces
- Installing corner bead, caulking, and sealants where required
- Reading work orders, project instructions, drawings, or specifications as needed
- Coordinating with painters, supervisors, and other trades to keep projects moving
- Protecting surrounding surfaces and maintaining clean work areas
- Working safely on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Submitting daily work updates using the company’s mobile reporting process
- Following company safety procedures and job-site requirements

Requirements

Applicants must have

- Minimum 2 years of professional drywall boarding, taping, and finishing experience
- Experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques
- Experience using drywall tools and equipment
- Ability to produce smooth, high-quality finishes with attention to detail




- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Valid authorization to work in Canada. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada. NT Painting & Decoration Inc. is not able to provide LMIA support or immigration assistance.

Additional Experience Considered an Asset Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Painting
- Restoration work
- Framing
- Carpentry
- Drywall repairs
- Reading construction drawings or specifications
- Using smartphones or mobile applications for daily work reporting
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
