Experienced Server – La Grotta On Main La Grotta On Main is looking for an experienced and reliable Server to join our restaurant team!

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and has previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment. Experience in Italian restaurants, fine dining, or busy hospitality environments is an asset.

About the Role

As a Server at La Grotta On Main, you will be responsible for providing attentive and friendly service while helping create a positive dining experience for every guest.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced and confident in table service
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with guests
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
- Able to work independently while being a strong team player
- Knowledgeable about food and beverage service
- Comfortable recommending menu items and specials
- Able to remain calm and professional during busy service periods

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, qualified table service
- Explain menu items, answer questions, and make recommendations
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Process bills, payments, and cash transactions accurately
- Recommend menu items, specials, and beverages when appropriate
- Maintain clean and organized tables and service areas
- Assist with setting and clearing tables and general restaurant duties




- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Address guest questions or concerns professionally and notify management when necessary
- Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional restaurant environment

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

- Previous restaurant serving experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual

Assets:

- Experience in Italian, fine-dining, or upscale casual restaurants
- Experience with POS systems
- Food Handler Certification
- Smart Serve certification
- Experience with wine, cocktails, or other beverage service
- Previous experience with busy dinner or weekend service

Schedule Job Types: Full-time and Part-time

Schedule: Flexible shifts available, including evenings and weekends.

Start Date: Immediate / Flexible
