- We are a warm Toronto family seeking an experienced, dependable nanny for our two-year-old daughter.

Schedule and compensation

- Approximately 30–35 hours per week

- Tuesday to Saturday, generally 10:00 a.m.–4:00/5:00 p.m.

- Occasional evenings or additional hours by agreement

- Starting at $23 per hour on payroll, depending on experience

- Long-term position

Travel is an essential part of this position The successful candidate must be able to:

- Stay with our family at our Haliburton cottage, sometimes for approximately two weeks at a time

- Travel with us to Mexico for one to three months during the winter

- Live in while travelling, with private accommodation provided

- Legally leave and re-enter Canada and hold a valid passport

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, hands-on care for our daughter

- Plan educational, creative and outdoor activities

- Prepare healthy toddler meals and snacks

- Maintain nap, diapering and potty-training routines

- Support language, independence and social development

- Child-related laundry, dishes, tidying and organizing

- Family laundry, light housekeeping and meal preparation

- Pack and organize Dakota’s belongings for travel

- Provide brief daily updates

Requirements





- Strong skilled experience caring for toddlers

- Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR, or willingness to renew

- Police Vulnerable Sector Check

- Verifiable childcare references

- Confident swimmer with excellent judgment around pools, lakes and cottage hazards

- Comfortable working while parents are at home

- Flexible, energetic, organized and genuinely engaged with children

- Legally entitled to work in Canada

This is generally a live-out position in Toronto and a live-in position while travelling. Please apply with your résumé and include your toddler-care experience, current location, availability, driving status, travel flexibility and confirmation that you can stay in Mexico for up to three months.
