Elevate Property Detailing is looking for another person to join our field team in Kaslo.

We care for homes and properties throughout the Kootenays, doing work such as window care, roof drainage and gutter clearing, exterior cleaning, roof and moss care, and other detailed property-maintenance projects.

You do not need to already know how to do this work.

We are more interested in finding someone who can learn, contribute, take responsibility, and become genuinely good at the work over time.

What the work looks like:

Most days begin from our Kaslo HQ and are spent working at client properties throughout the greater surrounding area (up to 1.5 hours away).

Depending on the day, the work may include:

- window cleaning and detailing
- gutter and roof-drainage work
- exterior washing and property care
- working from ladders and often roofs
- setting up, using and caring for equipment
- documenting work with photos, notes and checklists
- communicating with clients
- helping keep projects, vehicles, equipment and HQ organized

Some projects are straightforward. Others involve figuring things out as we go, adapting to the property, and working together to find a better approach. We are improving our own systems and training as a company too. We value people who can follow a good process while also noticing ways it could become better. This is an ongoing team effort that we all benefit from.

Previous experience in exterior cleaning, trades, construction, landscaping, maintenance or similar work can be helpful, but it is not required. Other experience matters too. Mechanical ability, customer service, sports, farming,



volunteering, equipment use, caring for property, or simply being someone others can rely on may all transfer well into this work.

The realities of the role

This is active outdoor work.

You should be prepared for changing weather, ladders and heights, lifting and carrying equipment, repetitive movement, uneven terrain, and travelling between client properties.

Our regular starting point is our Kaslo HQ.

We generally build days around roughly an eight-hour target, but they do not operate like fixed shifts. Some days may finish earlier, while others can reach 10 hours or occasionally more because of travel, weather or the needs or opportunities of a project.

We try to plan well, and we also need people who can work with some variability.

Requirements For this field position, you will need:

- a valid driver's licence
- a reliable way to get to our Kaslo HQ for the beginning of the workday
- willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions
- willingness and ability to become comfortable working from ladders and at heights
- ability to carry out active physical work, including lifting/carrying approximately 50 lbs when required
- comfort using a smartphone for job information, photos, checklists and communication
- legal ability to work in Canada

Training is provided, including for our services, equipment, systems and safe work practices.

Growth and earning potential

New field team members generally begin around $19–$20/hour and grow with your capabilities during the initial probationary and training period.

As someone develops reliable technical skills, quality, focus, organization and greater responsibility,



there are opportunities for substantially higher earnings through Elevate's performance-based compensation system.

Depending on capability, responsibility and performance, earnings can eventually reach the equivalent of approximately $184–$325 per workday.

The prospect is not based simply on how long someone has worked here. We want increasing capability and contribution to create increasing opportunity.

That can include becoming stronger technically, working more independently, communicating well with clients, providing greater value to clients, helping projects run smoothly, supporting teammates, or gradually taking on greater responsibility.

Seasonal employment

Our primary field season runs approximately mid March through late November, depending on the winter weather.

Winter is normally a layoff period for seasonal field employees. Employment Insurance eligibility depends on each person's individual circumstances and Service Canada requirements. High capabilities and consistent hours can lead to high EI payments in the winter.

Smoking is not permitted on client properties, in company vehicles, or while representing Elevate in uniform — we work in homes and many clients are sensitive to the smell. Their experience impacts our personal incomes.

Because the work involves vehicles, ladders, equipment and client properties, team members must arrive fit and safe to work.
