We are seeking a motivated and energetic Exterior Renovation Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleaning of work sites, including surface cleaning and debris removal
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and power tools to carry out various renovation tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials like siding, shingles, wood panels, and other building components safely and efficiently
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and airtight finishes on exterior surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to understand scope and specifications for each job
- Support carpentry tasks including framing, siding installation, window and door framing, and trim work
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction and renovation projects
- Prior construction or handyman experience is highly desirable
- Robust knowledge of carpentry techniques relevant to exterior work
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing exterior surfaces
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
