Position Summary The Part-Time Fertility Nurse plays an important role in guiding and supporting patients throughout their fertility journey — from diagnostic workup and cycle monitoring through treatment and early pregnancy care.

This role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about fertility care and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.

The successful candidate will be available to work a minimum of 2 days per week, including weekend coverage as part of a rotating schedule. Flexibility to support weekend and holiday coverage is an important requirement of this position.

Reports to: Manager, Clinical Nursing

Employment Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Minimum 2 days per week, including rotating weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Coordination

- Collaborate with Physicians, Nurses, Laboratory, and Administrative teams
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, consents, and financial processes
- Coordinate and prepare patients for diagnostic testing and treatment cycles
- Provide compassionate emotional support and guidance throughout treatment
- Monitor patient recovery following egg retrieval procedures
- Dispense medications accurately and assist with maintaining pharmacy inventory
- Communicate medical instructions and results via phone, email, and patient portal
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation
- Support patients through cycle monitoring and treatment-related appointments

Weekend & Cycle Monitoring Responsibilities Weekend coverage is an important component of this part-time position. Responsibilities may include:
- Meet with patients for cycle monitoring and review clinical results
- Review stimulation sheets, requisitions, and treatment plans




- Collaborate with REI physicians to review results and obtain updated treatment orders
- Provide patients with medication instructions and updated treatment plans
- Contact patients with results and clinical instructions
- Book IUIs and semen collection appointments
- Schedule egg retrieval procedures (OPUs) for IVF patients as required
- Organize and coordinate patient appointments
- Support urgent or time-sensitive patient needs during weekend coverage

Weekend and holiday rotation participation is required. Clinical Standards & Compliance

- Practice in accordance with the standards and Code of Ethics of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient records at all times
- Follow clinic policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Participate in maintaining high clinical and patient-care standards
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and dress code
- Maintain all required professional certifications and registrations

Team & Professional Responsibilities

- Participate in staff and clinic meetings as required
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and flexibility in scheduling
- Address conflict constructively and align behaviours with Pollin’s mission and values
- Work collaboratively with the broader clinical and administrative teams
- Undertake additional clinical or operational tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current Professional Liability Insurance
- Current BCLS certification required; ACLS considered an asset
- 2–5 years of experience in a fertility, reproductive health, women’s health, or related clinical setting preferred
- Training and/or experience in infertility and reproductive health strongly preferred




- Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week
- Availability for rotating weekend and holiday coverage is required

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfort interpreting and managing clinical data related to fertility treatments
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Knowledge of providing safe, inclusive care to gender and sexually diverse communities (2SLGBTQIA+)
- Professional demeanor and strict commitment to confidentiality

Working Conditions

- Part-time position with a minimum commitment of 2 days per week
- Clinic operates 7 days per week
- Typical clinic hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
- Flexibility to support patient care needs during weekend coverage
- Mandatory 3-week initial training at the Toronto location

Compensation Starting Rate: $38.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Final compensation and eligibility for benefits will be determined based on experience, certifications, employment status, and alignment with role requirements.
