Join WSP in Whitehorse, YT as an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training, where you will integrate fieldwork and office analysis to shape vital infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to impact communities through innovative engineering solutions. You will be a core member of the Ground Engineering and Materials team, leading field investigations while also performing data analysis and report writing.
Your technical expertise will support a variety of projects across the Yukon and northern British Columbia. Mentor junior staff, build client relationships, and ensure quality assurance throughout project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead field investigations including borehole drilling and instrumentation
- Analyze and evaluate geotechnical data for recommendations
- Prepare detailed technical reports and construction documents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project designs
- Mentor junior engineers on safety and methods Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
- Must be registered as an EIT in Canada
- Minimum three years of relevant engineering experience
- Robust technical writing and analytical capabilities
