Sebia Diagnostics Canada is seeking a highly motivated Field Applications Specialist (FAS) to join our team. This field-based position plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across the Sebia installed base throughout Central and Western Canada.
As a trusted scientific and technical partner, the FAS is responsible for delivering consultative training, application support, troubleshooting, and implementation expertise to clinical laboratory customers. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales teams, technical support, service engineers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the successful installation, validation, and adoption of Sebia's innovative diagnostic solutions.
Serving as a primary customer contact, the FAS develops robust relationships with laboratory professionals, gains a deep understanding of customer needs, and provides solution-oriented support that drives operational success and long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote scientific, technical, and application support to customer laboratories.
- Deliver customer training programs on instrument operation, assay applications, workflows, and best practices.
- Support the implementation, validation, and go-live of new instrumentation and assays.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely resolutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Technical Support, Marketing, and other departments to ensure customer success.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support business objectives.
- Assist with product evaluations, demonstrations, studies, and initiatives that showcase product performance and value.
- Support commercial activities including customer presentations, seminars, workshops, and scientific meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, training activities,
and support cases.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting; or
- Minimum of three (3) years of applications support experience, preferably within the IVD, diagnostics, or laboratory industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related business systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
