Kempenfelt Windows & Doors is looking for an experienced, dependable Field Service Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate has experience diagnosing and repairing window and door systems. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You will work independently in customers’ homes, servicing and repairing vinyl windows, entry doors and patio doors while providing professional, respectful customer service.

What You’ll Do

- Inspect and repair vinyl windows, entry doors and patio doors.
- Complete warranty and service calls.
- Replace or adjust glass, locks, hardware, seals, weatherstripping and other parts.
- Find the cause of service problems and determine the best solution.
- Complete on-site inspections when needed.
- Explain repairs clearly and tactfully to customers.
- Record work completed at each appointment.
- Identify parts or additional work needed for follow-up visits.
- Respect customers’ homes and leave all work areas clean and tidy.
- Report completed work and follow-up needs to the Service Manager.
- Operate a company service vehicle safely.
- Keep your service vehicle stocked with tools, parts and materials.

What You’ll Need

- Minimum 2 years of experience in window and door service, or 3+ years of experience in construction, or in-home customer service.
- Experience with vinyl windows, entry doors and patio doors is preferred.
- Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools.




- Ability to work independently and make good decisions.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and proper use of safety equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

The Person We’re Looking For Technical ability is important, but so is how you treat people. Our Field Service Technician is often the person a customer relies on to solve a concern after installation.

We are looking for someone who will listen, investigate, communicate and find the right solution. You should be comfortable entering customers' homes, and working respectfully around their property while professionally representing Kempenfelt Windows & Doors.
