As an integral member of the Finance Team, the Controller is an experienced, business-minded professional with an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a current vacancy and we are looking for someone to oversee and manage financial reporting of our accounting department reporting to our VP of Finance.

Assisting with the full accounting cycle, leading month end close process for several portfolio assets

Oversee the preparation of working papers and coordination with external accounting firm, coordinate timelines for all engagements (review, notice to readers, T2 returns) for all Harlo entities

Lead corporate reporting for parent company and holding company assets as well as legacy investment vehicles





Act as IFRS/ASPE subject matter expert applying sound accounting principles/practices for all financial reports

Maintaining consistent reporting and positive working relations with our partners, mortgage lenders, banks, financial partners, external accountants/auditors, and any government agencies, representing the company as needed

Analyze certain accounts to ensure accuracy and discrepancy resolution

Support Sr Director, Finance and VP Finance in all bank reporting obligations

Maintain and modify chart of accounts, as required

Maintain and ensure consistency in departmental and GL mapping accounts

Manage legal and organizational documents ensuring all are executed and communicated to tax team as needed

Support team growth through training initiatives

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

5-7 years' experience, with a minimum of 3 years at a national accounting firm

Strong knowledge of Accounting Systems including Push Operations, Sage Intacct and ERP systems

High proficiency in Excel

Persistent in meeting reporting deadlines with an ability to drive results from all parties

Experience building internal control and financial processes
