Role Description

This is a full-time, in office role for a Financial Systems Analyst based in Burnaby, BC. This position serves as a key bridge between our Finance, Operations, and IT teams, part system support, part architect of change.

Beyond day-to-day operational and system support, you will design and support process and system improvements across the business. You will be a key contributor to a new reporting tool implementation, including data mapping from multiple sources, synchronization, report design, and validation. The role is also responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation of business processes and system customizations to ensure clarity and consistency, delivering training to new users and at process rollout, and supporting ad hoc data analysis projects.

Above all, the Financial Systems Analyst ensures our financial data is accurate, secure, and accessible for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

- Solid understanding of accounting principles, with a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)

- Knowledge of US Sales & Use Tax requirements is a plus
- Strong business sense and analytical mind, with the ability to translate business issues into practical solutions
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and cross-functional integration; experience with system migration or integration is a plus
- Experience with SAP Business One preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in MS Excel; Qlik and SQL proficiency is a plus
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to look ahead and deliver future-proof solutions
- Open and articulate communicator with strong analysis, presentation, and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and autonomously while contributing effectively as part of the finance team
- Willing to bring forward innovative ideas and champion best practices that drive continuous improvement
