We are looking to fill a full time position as a Fitness Program Supervisor who reports to our Fitness Manager. The Fitness Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the fitness registered and drop-in program, including planning, scheduling, instructor development, and program execution, while supporting department goals and service excellence.

Key Accountabilities

Programming Leadership

- Lead and oversee all Fitness programming, including Cardio-Muscle Mix, Yoga, Pilates, and specialty fitness programs.
- Develop seasonal and annual programming plans aligned with departmental objectives.

1. Recommend new program offerings and service enhancements based on member feedback, industry trends, and participation data.

- Evaluate program and instructor performance, participation trends, and member feedback to recommend enhancements and current offerings on a regular basis.
- Ensure high-quality, consistent member experience across all fitness programming streams.
- Identify opportunities to increase participation, member engagement, and program utilization.

Instructor Leadership & Development

- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and support instructors across all group fitness disciplines.
- Conduct instructor observations and evaluations, providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and service-focused instructor team culture.
- Ensure instructors adhere to departmental standards, policies, and service expectations.
- Manage instructor scheduling and support coverage planning.

Member Experience & Community Engagement





- Lead and represent the Club’s fitness class programming, ensuring exceptional member experiences and program excellence.
- Build strong relationships with members and instructors to increase engagement and retention.
- Address program related member feedback and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the development of events, challenges, workshops, and special programming initiatives.

Program Administration & Execution

- Oversee program scheduling, registration processes, class utilization, and operational execution.
- Ensure program information, schedules, and communications are accurate and current.
- Maintain appropriate programming standards, studio readiness, and instructional resources.

1. Monitor key program metrics and prepare recommendations for continuous improvement.
2. Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators related to participation, retention, revenue, and overall program performance.

- Work collaboratively with Marketing teams to support program promotion and participation growth.

Leadership of Fitness Program Coordinator

- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to the Fitness Coordinator.
- Establish administrative priorities and workflow expectations.
- Delegate administrative responsibilities to improve efficiency and consistency across programming streams.
- Review reports, communications, instructor records, registrations,



and scheduling processesprepared by the coordinator.
- Ensure consistent and professional administrative experience for members and instructors.

Budget & Resource Stewardship

- Provide recommendations related to programming enhancements, equipment needs, and operational improvements.
- Participate in Weekly planning meetings and contribute to departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor program spending within approved budgets and ensure responsible use of departmental resources.
- Major budget decisions, capital planning, staffing structure changes, strategic direction, and significant equipment purchases remain under the leadership and approval of the Fitness Manager.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field
2. Current CPR and First Aid certifications
3. 3-6 years related experience in programming
4. 2-3 years of supervisory experience
5. Additional certifications and associations in the industry are an asset e.g. certification through CSEP/CPT, AFLCA, Can-Fit-Pro, etc.
