Job Summary

Join our dynamic Food and Beverage team at Puslinch Golf Club, where your enthusiasm, reliability, and dedication will help create memorable experiences for our guests at the snack bar, in the lounge, and during tournaments and special events.

In this hands-on role, you will provide friendly and attentive guest service while also assisting with food preparation and cooking in the kitchen. You will be responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving food and beverages, processing payments, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring our guests receive high-quality service throughout their visit.

The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, and able to confidently transition between front-of-house serving and kitchen responsibilities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service at the snack bar, lounge, and during tournaments and special events.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Lightspeed POS system, ensuring special requests and modifications are communicated correctly.
- Prepare and cook food in the kitchen according to our menu, recipes, and established preparation guidelines.
- Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served efficiently and to our quality standards.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times.
- Operate the POS system, process debit/credit and cash transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Maintain clean and organized tables, counters, service stations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces.
- Restock food, beverage, and service supplies as needed.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and kitchen preparation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to questions, requests,



or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with food and beverage service during tournaments, outings, and special events.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Perform other duties as required to support the overall operation of the Food & Beverage department.

Requirements

- Previous food service, restaurant, serving, kitchen, or golf course experience is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in both a customer-facing serving role and a kitchen environment.
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
- Experience with POS systems such as Lightspeed is an asset.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and menu guidelines.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transactions.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament events as required.
- Smart Serve and/or Food Handler certification is an asset.
