Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a production team of approximately 8–12 employees.

This position is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, assigning work, monitoring equipment operations, and ensuring orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

This is a working supervisor position that combines team leadership with active participation in daily production operations.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and provide daily direction to a production team of approximately 8–12 employees
- Prepare daily production schedules and assign employees based on order volume and production priorities
- Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Support and train employees on production procedures, equipment operation, food safety, and workplace safety
- Monitor the proper and safe operation of food-processing and packaging equipment
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, cleaning, routine inspections, and basic troubleshooting
- Identify production issues and assist with improving workflow, efficiency, and product yield
- Help reduce production waste, downtime, and unnecessary labour
- Ensure employees follow food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, GMPs, SOPs, and company policies
- Coordinate with Quality Control, purchasing, warehouse, administration,



and management as needed
- Complete basic production records, including production output, labour hours, waste, and equipment downtime
- Participate in production floor operations when needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, a central kitchen, or a similar production environment
- Previous team-lead or supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience leading or coordinating a production team is an asset
- Comfortable working with food-processing and packaging equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and report equipment problems
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, GMPs, and SOPs
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and email
- Able to update production schedules and complete basic production reports
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically active environment
- Responsible, dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to lead by example
- mandarin/ Cantonese is an asset.
