Lyons Heritage Masonry
Foreman Brick and Stone Mason
Location: Toronto, ON -- field-based position with projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities.
Lead the Standard
Lyons Heritage Masonry is a specialist heritage masonry studio combining heritage craft, modern precision, and architectural expression. We work on restoration, conservation, adaptive reuse, and custom homes throughout some of Toronto's most established neighbourhoods.
Our work is guided by four standards: Authenticity -- We bring craft integrity. Accountability -- We own it. Love for the Work -- The work comes first. Continued Service -- Built on trust. We solve problems rather than pass blame, and we believe the best masonry should still look right long after we are gone.
Why Lyons Heritage Masonry?
Lyons is building more than projects; we are helping carry the masonry trade forward. One of our brand pillars is Generational Stewardship--training the next masons, choosing the right materials, and building work that outlasts us. As a Foreman, you will have a direct role in protecting that standard. You will be trusted to solve problems, develop your crew, coordinate with respected architects and builders, and make sure the finished masonry reflects the intent behind the project
We are looking for an experienced Foreman Brick and Stone Mason who can lead a crew without stepping away from the craft.
This is a working-foreman role. You will organize the project, coordinate the crew, protect quality and safety, communicate with clients and other trades, and remain actively involved in masonry installation.
The right person understands that leadership is not simply giving instructions. It means setting the standard,
planning ahead, addressing problems at their source, and taking responsibility for both your own work and the work of the team.

- Confirm materials, site conditions, equipment, scaffold, and layout before production begins.
- Work actively alongside the crew and demonstrate proper masonry techniques.
- Inspect completed work for line, level, plumb, coursing, joint consistency, finish, and cleanliness.
- Identify deficiencies early and ensure they are corrected at the source.
- Coach apprentices and masons and help develop the next generation of tradespeople.
- Coordinate with builders, architects, site supervisors, homeowners, and other trades.
- Communicate schedule issues, scope changes, shortages, and field conditions before they become larger problems.
- Maintain site organization, silica controls, scaffold inspections, and safety standards.
- Complete time, production, material,
and project-progress reporting.
- Support the continued development of field procedures and company standards.
