Pursue a vital role as a Forestry Sector Legal and Policy Analyst at PCAsia in Viet Nam. Drive impactful forest governance through legal reviews and policy analysis in a team-oriented environment. This position supports the ‘Parliaments Strengthening Forest Governance’ project aimed at enhancing the National Assembly's capabilities.
As a consultant, you will conduct comprehensive legal and policy reviews, producing a Policy Gap Matrix to identify inconsistencies and leverage parliamentary actions. Your contributions will facilitate stakeholder engagement and training initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare inception strategy with methodology
- Review forest governance laws and policies in Viet Nam
- Analyze budget frameworks and transparency mechanisms
- Incorporate insights from civil society and Indigenous consultations
- Validate findings with PCAsia and EWMI Requirements:
- Advanced degree in social sciences or related field
- 7 years of experience in governance or policy research
- Expertise in participatory approaches to governance
- Understanding of Southeast Asian forest frameworks
- Excellent analytical and writing skills in English Contribute your expertise to forest governance initiatives and strengthen parliamentary capacity in Viet Nam.
