Position Summary: The Credit Risk Specialistis responsible forconducting independent financial analysis, credit risk assessments, and portfoliomonitoringactivities that support Infrastructure Ontario's commercial lending program. The role contributes to prudent lending decisions through the evaluation of borrower financial information, project risks, loan structures, covenant compliance, and repayment capacity. The position prepares credit analysis, credit memorandums, portfolio reviews, and risk reporting materials while supporting governance, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the role helps ensure the consistent application of sound credit risk management practices across the lending portfolio. What You Will Do: Conduct financial analysis and credit assessments for recent loan applications, annual reviews, amendments, waivers, and other credit requests. Assess borrower financial statements, cash flows, repayment capacity, business plans, and project risks to support credit adjudication activities. Prepare financial models, credit memorandums, and risk-based recommendations that support informed lending decisions. Monitor borrower performance, covenant compliance,



and portfolio risk indicators to identifyemerging risks and recommendappropriate actions. Prepare annual reviews, portfoliomonitoringreports, sector analysis, and credit risk reporting for management and governance purposes. Research economic, market, and industry trends affecting borrowers and lending sectors. Support the enhancement of credit policies, procedures, methodologies, templates, and analytical tools. Collaborate with Lending, Legal, Treasury, Finance, and Loan Operations teams to support effective risk management and portfolio oversight. Who You Are: Knowledge of commercial lending principles, credit adjudication practices, and credit risk management methodologies. Strong financial analysis capabilities, including financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, ratio analysis, and risk assessment. Ability to evaluate complex financial, operational, and business risks and develop well-supported recommendations. Understanding ofloan structures, covenant monitoring, portfolio management, and risk mitigation techniques. Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-organized analytical reports and credit memorandums. Exceptional attention to detail combined with sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingaccuracy in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of infrastructure finance, municipalities, commercial real estate, healthcare, affordable housing, energy, or project-based financing sectors would be considered an asset.
