Weir Canada is seeking a Systems Safety & Environmental Engineer for the River Class Destroyer Project. This role focuses on hazard analysis, risk assessment, and environmental compliance, supporting the Royal Canadian Navy.
In this permanent, full time position based in Dartmouth, NS, you’ll engage in safety engineering activities that ensure compliance with national and international standards. You will also manage hazard tracking and collaborate with various experts to produce critical safety documents and reports. Your commitment to a safety-driven culture will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive safety and environmental engineering analyses
• Support lifecycle review processes and safety engineering teams
• Develop safety management plans, logs,



and case reports
• Manage hazard tracking systems and documentation
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts
Requirements:
• Canadian citizenship and 10 years continuous residency
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Desirable knowledge in various safety engineering fields
• Familiarity with data modeling and MBSE practices
